Persimmon Spice Shake


This is a fun, seasonal fruit shake that perfectly combines juicy winter citrus and sweet, ripe persimmons. Blended with warming ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, this shake truly feels like the holidays. Whip it up for breakfast or enjoy for dessert!

Persimmon Spice Shake
serves 2

      • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
      • 1/4 cup cashews
      • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
      • 2 ripe Hachiya persimmons, peeled and chopped
      • 1/2″ cube fresh ginger
      • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
      • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
      • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
      • 3 frozen bananas

Combine the orange juice, cashews and coconut oil in a blender. Blend until the coconut oil melts and the mixture is very smooth. Add the persimmons, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg. Blend again until smooth. Finally, add the bananas and blend until you have a rich, creamy shake. Enjoy in the holiday spirit!
